Església de Santa Maria
Old quarter, top of the village · Carrer Eliseu Meifrèn, 17488 Cadaqués
The 16th-17th-century parish church perched at the top of the old quarter, with one of the most ornate Catalan baroque altarpieces on the coast (gilded retaule by Pau Costa, 1727). The exterior staircase and forecourt are the most photographed spot in Cadaqués; leashed dogs are welcome on every external square, alley and viewpoint around the church.
💡 Climb the slate alleys of Carrer des Call at golden hour and approach the church from the south staircase; the descent ends on Plaça Frederic Rahola for an easy aperitif
