Braga sits between the Cávado and Este rivers at the foot of the Serra do Carvalho, with green space woven through the urban fabric. A 15-hectare residential-area park east of the centre, the largest public green space in the municipality. Wide tarmac paths suit dogs of all sizes, mature oaks provide shade in summer, and a 1.5km perimeter circuit is popular with joggers and dog walkers. Dogs must be leashed; bag dispensers are installed at the two main entrances.
