Getting Around Bergamo with a Dog

The historic funicular that links Città Bassa to Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe in Città Alta, running every 7-8 minutes from early morning to late evening. Operated by ATB. Small dogs in a carrier travel free; larger dogs travel with leash and muzzle on board for a single passenger fare. The two-minute climb is gentle enough for any dog and an excellent way to spare paws on hot summer cobblestones.
