Parks & Green Spaces around Amalfi

A cool, green nature reserve of waterfalls, streams and ruined ironworks in the ravine above Amalfi, far shadier than the sun-baked town. Leashed dogs are welcome on the trail, which climbs from the top of Amalfi; a ticket for the upper reserve is bought at the Pontone information point.

A short but steep ridge path from Pontone to a ruined watchtower on the spur between Amalfi and Atrani, with huge sea views over both bays. Leashed dogs love the pine-shaded trail, though the tower area is unfenced, so keep them close on the drops.

A quiet terraced hamlet on the slopes above Amalfi, greener, cooler and far calmer than the seafront, with a small panoramic square and lemon terraces. Leashed dogs enjoy the shaded lanes, reachable by the local orange bus to spare the long stair climb.
