Getting Around Alcúdia with Your Pet

The Port d'Alcúdia to Ciutadella de Menorca crossing is the fastest pet-friendly link between Mallorca and Menorca, a 1-hour fast catamaran operated by Iscomar/Trasmediterránea (and seasonally by Baleària) with multiple daily departures in summer and a reduced schedule the rest of the year. Pets travel in carriers in the passenger cabin at a supplement of around €15 to €30 depending on size; larger dogs travel on lead in the dedicated pet area or in your vehicle if you bring a car. Booking ahead is essential in July and August.

The regional TIB bus L351 (express) and L352 (with stops) connect Palma's Estació Intermodal to Alcúdia in around 1 hour for roughly €5 each way, with frequent departures throughout the day. Small pets in an approved carrier travel free; larger dogs may be accepted at the driver's discretion. The bus drops at the Avinguda Príncep d'Espanya stop, a 5-minute walk from the Porta del Moll and the casc antic. Tickets are bought on board. This is the standard way to reach Alcúdia without a car.

Alcúdia has an official taxi rank on Avinguda Príncep d'Espanya at the entrance to the casc antic, with a steady supply in summer and on-call service in winter. The PMI airport run is around €70 to €80 one way for the 50 km journey, around 50 minutes drive. Dogs are accepted at the driver's discretion, usually with a small additional fee and a towel or blanket request. For guaranteed pet-friendly transfers it is often easier to pre-book a private hire or use Cabify, where you can confirm the pet policy in advance.
