Platja d'Alcúdia / Platja de Muro (off-season)
Bay of Alcúdia, 2 km south of casc antic · Passeig Marítim, Port d'Alcúdia to Muro
Platja d'Alcúdia is the longest sandy beach in Mallorca, a 6 km arc of pale fine sand running from the Port d'Alcúdia marina south along the bay into the Platja de Muro and onward to Can Picafort. Bandera Azul certified, family-friendly, shallow gradient, and one of the best swimming beaches on the island. Per the Ajuntament d'Alcúdia ordinance, dogs are prohibited on the designated public bathing stretch from April 1 to October 31. From November to March leashed dogs are welcome and the beach is at its most beautiful, empty, with the Tramuntana light across the bay.
💡 The southern end toward Platja de Muro is the most empty stretch even in mid-winter, park at the Es Comú dune access. Sunrise from the beach over the bay is dramatic, the sun rises directly out of the sea around 07:30 in January
