Pollentia Roman ruins
South edge of casc antic · Avinguda Príncep d'Espanya, 07400 Alcúdia
Pollentia is the 1st-century BC Roman city founded by Quintus Caecilius Metellus after the Roman conquest of the Balearics in 123 BC, the most important Roman archaeological site on Mallorca. The open grounds include the forum, the residential quarter (Sa Portella domus), the perimeter paths and the remains of the city walls, with a fenced Roman theatre 200 m to the south reached on foot. Leashed dogs are welcome on the open grounds and perimeter paths but not inside the fenced theatre or the indoor archaeological museum (Museu Monogràfic). A 10-minute walk from Plaça de la Constitució.
💡 Arrive at opening at 10:00 to walk the open grounds before the bus groups arrive. The theatre is a flat 200 m extra walk south, visible from the road but viewable up close from outside the fence with the dog
