Dog-Friendly Bathing Spots Around Aix-en-Provence

Marseille's official dog-allowed beach, the only one on the Côte Bleue–Calanques coast officially open to dogs year-round. Sandy entry, shallow water and a 200 m length make it one of the easiest dog-swimming spots on the French Mediterranean; reach from Aix by car (35 min) or the M19 + M83 metro+bus combo.

An 8-hectare municipal swimming lake fed by the Durance, with a sandy-edged bathing area open July–August (free, supervised). Dogs are permitted on the surrounding 1.5 km perimeter path year-round but not on the supervised bathing zone in summer; off-season the whole shore is dog-accessible.

Family beach in La Ciotat with the 16:00–10:00 dog window in summer — outside those hours dogs are banned from 1 June to 30 September. Sandy beach, calm Calanque-protected water; the dog-permitted zone is signed at the western end near the lifeguard station.
