A 9 km west-facing Atlantic beach: the widest and flattest beach in Morocco, entirely flat and hard-packed near the waterline. No seasonal dog ban. The beach is the main dog-walking and running area for the city's many resident dogs and tourists' dogs. The northern end (near the Kasbah) is quieter; the central beach (opposite the hotels) is livelier. The Atlantic here is calmer than Essaouira due to the bay orientation.
