Wroclaw's main market square is one of the largest medieval squares in Europe and the centre of city life. The free-standing Town Hall (Ratusz) at the centre, the colourful gabled townhouses on every side, and the cafés that fill every corner make this the obvious starting point. Dogs on leash are welcome everywhere on the square and on every café terrace. Walking circumference is about 700 metres, easy for any dog.

Cathedral Island is the oldest part of Wroclaw and the most atmospheric, particularly at dusk when a city lamplighter still walks the cobbled streets to light the gas lamps by hand. Dogs on leash are welcome everywhere outdoors, including the bridges across the Odra and the squares around the Cathedral. The Cathedral interior itself is not dog-accessible, but the surrounding streets, gardens, and riverbank paths make for a perfect 60-minute loop.

A UNESCO-listed early-modernist concrete dome built in 1913, surrounded by the elegant Pergola fountain and the Szczytnicki Park. The interior of the hall is not dog-accessible, but the entire surrounding complex including the spectacular Pergola Fountain show in summer evenings is fully open to dogs on leash. Combine with a long Park Szczytnicki walk for a complete half-day out of the centre.
