Karlovy Vary

The town's grandest colonnade, 132 meters and five hot springs beneath its 1881 columns. Dogs are banned under the colonnade itself, but the riverside promenade opposite gives you the whole facade from a few steps away.

The 1914 lookout tower above the spa valley, reached by a dog-friendly funicular or a 45-minute forest climb. Dog-friendly terrace restaurant and mini zoo at the top.

A national natural monument of granite towers above the Ohře, linked to town by a flat 5 km riverside path from Doubí. The classic half-day dog outing, river dip included.

The prettiest central spa park, wrapped around the 1881 cast-iron Park Colonnade. A leashed loop between flowerbeds, the Dvořák statue and the river.

Charles IV's castle tower, remnant of the 1358 Gothic hunting lodge, overlooks the Market square and its white timber-lace colonnade. The cobbled lanes climbing around it make a fine leashed town walk.

A natural park on a bend of the Ohře in Tuhnice: meadows, a river beach and easy water entry. The locals' dog swimming spot, since the Rolava lake complex does not admit dogs.
