A 1.2 km strip of seafront grass, off-leash year-round, paired with a dog beach equally open 365 days a year. The social hub for Brighton dog owners, especially between 17:00 and 19:00.

Free public garden ringing George IV's Indo-Saracenic palace. Dogs on leash are welcome year-round, the Pavilion interior remains off-limits to non-assistance pets.

The world's oldest operating electric railway (1883), running along the seafront from the Aquarium to Black Rock. Leashed dogs are admitted at no extra fare, March to October.

A 200-hectare estate at the gateway to the South Downs National Park, mostly off-leash, with a working farm, woodland and Stanmer village. The most ambitious dog walk in Brighton's park network.

Brighton's two emblematic shopping districts, the historic Lanes (jewellery, antiques) and the bohemian North Laine (vintage, independents). Most shops welcome leashed dogs, many keep a water bowl at the door.

A wide pebble cove east of Brighton, framed by chalk cliffs, dog-friendly year-round. At low tide a long flat sand strip emerges, and the Undercliff Walk leads back to the Marina in 90 minutes.
