Dogs must be on a leash in public parks, streets and, since March 2025, on all beaches; owners must clean up after them (fines apply). A muzzle is required only for breeds classified as aggressive under Polish law. There is no dedicated off-leash dog park in town.
Kolobrzeg is a summer spa resort. July and August bring the biggest crowds, the busiest beach and the fullest restaurant terraces. Late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September) offer a quieter, still mild version of the same seaside walks with more room for a dog on the sand.
There is no 24-hour vet in Kolobrzeg, the nearest is in Szczecin (about 95 km). Bring your dog's rabies certificate for the EU border crossing, and keep water on hand for the wide, sun-exposed beach in midsummer.
Poland uses the zloty (PLN), not the euro, though many tourist businesses near the beach quote in both. Card payments are widely accepted. Pet-friendly hotels routinely charge a small nightly pet fee, confirm it at booking.
