Dog-Friendly Attractions in Yokohama

An open-air seaside shopping and dining complex on the Shinko waterfront, deliberately designed as pet-friendly, with leashed dogs welcome to stroll its lanes and terraces. Several cafes and restaurants seat dogs on their terraces, and it is the most dependable single stop for a relaxed outing.

Two restored early-1900s customs warehouses that anchor the Shinko waterfront, now a landmark event and shopping venue. The wide brick plazas and lawns around the buildings are a pleasant leashed-dog stroll with harbour views, even though the interior shops and halls are indoor spaces where pets are generally not allowed.

Yokohama's international passenger pier, whose undulating wooden rooftop, nicknamed the whale's back, is a free open-air deck with sweeping views back across the Minato Mirai skyline.
