Getting to Vichy with a Pet

Vichy's station on the Paris to Clermont-Ferrand line is served by Intercites and regional TER trains. On SNCF, small pets under about 6 kg travel in a closed bag for a small fee, while larger dogs must be muzzled and leashed at your feet.

The Vichy Communaute urban bus network links the town centre with Bellerive, Cusset and Abrest. Small dogs in a carrier are generally accepted and larger dogs muzzled and leashed at the driver's discretion.

Local taxis serve the station and the spa quarter and will carry pets at the individual driver's discretion. Handy for reaching the Bellerive and Cusset vets or an out-of-town boarding kennel.
