Dog-Friendly Attractions in Verona

The Arena di Verona is a 1st-century Roman amphitheatre and one of Italy's best-preserved ancient monuments, still used for opera performances in summer. Dogs are not permitted inside, but the exterior and the vast Piazza Bra surrounding it are freely accessible with leashed dogs at any time. Walking around the exterior of this 2,000-year-old monument with your dog is a memorable experience that costs nothing.

Juliet's House, the legendary setting of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, draws visitors from around the world to see its famous balcony and courtyard. Dogs are not permitted inside the museum, but leashed dogs are welcome in the courtyard (the entrance is always open) where visitors leave love notes on the walls. The narrow Via Cappello leading to the house is easily navigated with a leashed dog.
