Parque Nacional del Teide (lower trails)
Spain's most visited national park, a vast volcanic caldera around the 3,715 m Teide peak, the highest point in Spain. Dogs are not allowed on the Teide summit cable car or in the strictest reserve zones, but leashed dogs are accepted on many of the lower marked trails and roadside miradors across the Las Caรฑadas plateau. Always check current signage and the park rules before setting out.
Off-leash zone: Dogs must be kept on a leash; not allowed on the summit cable car or in strict reserve zones.
๐ก It can be near freezing at 2,000 m even in summer; bring water and watch sharp volcanic rock on paws.
