Dog-Friendly Beaches in Tarragona

The longest beach in Tarragona, 3 km of sand and gentle water inside a quieter natural setting east of the centre. The municipality maintains a designated dog area here, with leash required on the rest of the sand. Showers, sunbeds and a beach bar are available in summer.

A 200-metre secluded cove reached by a 20-minute walk through the Bosc de la Marquesa pine forest north of Platja Llarga. Sheltered, sandy, and clear-watered. Because it sits outside the lifeguarded municipal beaches, locals treat it as the city's de-facto dog cove year-round.

Tarragona's first officially designated dog beach, a small, intimate cove of fine sand and gravel surrounded by trees and rocks just past Cala Romana. Closer to the city than Cala Fonda and easier to reach; the cove fills quickly on summer weekends.
