Tarifa itself is too small for big urban parks, but it sits inside the Parque Natural del Estrecho, with pine-covered hills, dune systems and clifftop trails just a few minutes from the casco antiguo. For day-to-day walks, locals use the seafront paseo and a handful of small green areas near Playa Chica and the bullring.

💡 Watch for free-roaming retinto cows; keep the leash short and give them a wide berth.
The historic palm-lined promenade running from the old-town walls down to the port, with shaded benches, kiosks and a children`s play area. The most central spot for a calm leashed loop, especially in the evening.

A pine forest recreation area on the N-340 between Tarifa and Algeciras, with shaded picnic tables, fire pits, and gentle forest tracks. A favourite cooler-weather destination when the Levante howls on the beach; leashed dogs are welcome.
