Dog-Friendly Attractions in St Ives

Small wildlife boats run from the harbour out to Seal Island and towards Godrevy to see the resident Atlantic grey seal colonies, seabirds and sometimes dolphins. Dogs are welcome and go free, making it one of the most memorable dog-friendly outings in Cornwall.

The heart of the town, a golden-sand working harbour ringed by pubs, galleries and fishing boats, with Smeaton's Pier and its little lighthouse reaching out to the bay. It is all walkable with a dog on a lead, and the north side of the pier is one of the year-round dog-friendly stretches of sand.

The historic fishermen's quarter behind the harbour, a warren of narrow granite lanes, whitewashed cottages and artists' studios that gave St Ives its reputation as an art town. It is all outdoor, dog-friendly wandering, dotted with dog-welcoming cafes and independent galleries.
