Dog-Friendly Beaches in Sopot

The signposted dog stretch of Sopot beach between entrances 43 and 45 at the northern end of town, backed by the greenery of Park Polnocny. Fine white sand, shallow Baltic water and free entry, with the calmest crowds on the whole Sopot shore.

Since the 2025 rule change, the full 4 km of Sopot's beach, including the postcard stretch by the pier, is open to dogs whenever guarded bathing zones are not operating: all day from September to June, and outside lifeguard hours in July and August. Off-season it is one of the great dog walks of the Baltic, wide, white and often empty.

The best-equipped dog beach on the Polish Baltic coast sits just across Sopot's northern boundary in Gdynia Kolibki: off-leash sand plus a fenced agility lot with jumps, tunnels and weave poles. From central Sopot it is a 10-minute ride on trolleybus 21 or a 30-minute walk along the shore.
