The heart of Quimper is a maze of half-timbered medieval houses around the soaring Gothic cathedral of Saint-Corentin, whose twin 76-metre spires dominate the skyline. You can wander the cobbled pedestrian streets and admire the cathedral exterior and ramparts with your dog at your side. The cathedral interior is closed to dogs, but the surrounding squares and lanes are the most atmospheric dog walk in the city.
