Park Cytadela
North of the Old Town ยท Park Cytadela, Poznan
The largest park in Poznan, around 100 hectares of wooded ridges, open lawns, military monuments, and panoramic views over the Old Town from the southern slopes. Built on the site of a 19th-century Prussian fortress, the park combines history with serious walking: alleys of mature oaks and beeches make a one-to-two-hour loop natural. Dogs must stay on a leash throughout, but the broad paths and quiet woodland sections are spacious enough that you will rarely cross a tight crowd. The two open-air museums (Army and Armaments) are closed to dogs, but the park around them is fine.
๐ก Enter from the south side for the panoramic view over the Old Town. Avoid the central monument area on May 8 and November 11 holidays, ceremonies attract big crowds
