Orvieto's cliff-top old town isn't big on sprawling green space, so most dog walking happens along two very different routes: a small green pocket by the cave entrance in the historic centre, and the long path that circles the entire tufa rock outside the walls. A pedestrian path that circles the entire tufa outcrop beneath Orvieto's walls, part of the PAAO archaeological-environmental park. It's an easy, mostly flat walk with valley views the whole way around, roughly 3 km, and a good way to give a dog real exercise outside the stepped, cobbled old town.
