Arènes de Nîmes (Roman amphitheatre)
Centre (Écusson) · Boulevard des Arènes, 30000 Nîmes
The best-preserved Roman amphitheatre in the world, built around AD 70 and still hosting the Féria bullfights, opera and concerts. The site holds the Qualidog label and explicitly admits leashed dogs of all sizes, including categorised dogs, free of charge during normal visiting hours. Bring your own waste bags. The amphitheatre is closed to visitors during ferias and concerts; check the calendar before you arrive.
💡 The audio-guide is free, available on the official site app; do the visit in the first hour after opening to avoid the worst summer heat in the arena bowl.
