Smiltynes perkela ferries (Klaipeda to Spit)

The state ferry operator Smiltynes perkela runs the only crossings between mainland Klaipeda and the Curonian Spit. The Old Castle (Senoji) terminal handles foot passengers, cyclists and pets on a 5-minute crossing every 30 to 60 minutes; the New Ferry (Naujoji) further south handles cars and freight every 20 to 30 minutes.
๐พ Dogs accepted on both ferries leashed throughout. Pedestrian crossing on the Old Castle line is free; cars on the New Ferry are charged by vehicle length, dogs travel with the car at no extra cost.
