Dog Parks and Green Spaces in Miami

A 7-hectare grassy park at the southern tip of Miami Beach, where Biscayne Bay meets the Atlantic. The fenced dog area sits on the west side near 3rd Street and is one of the breeziest in Miami, with sea breezes all year round. The promenade circling the park is a popular off-cruise-ship dog walk; cargo ships pass within 200 m of the jetty all day long.

A 3-hectare green strip on Biscayne Bay in Edgewater, sandwiched between the Venetian Causeway and downtown. The fenced dog park has separate small and large dog sections, a water fountain for dogs and shaded benches. The adjacent bay-edge promenade gives downtown skyline views straight across the water, especially golden at sunrise.

A 207-hectare Miami-Dade county park near Hialeah, with a dedicated 4-hectare off-leash Bark Park including its own dog lake where dogs can swim year-round, separate areas for small and large dogs, a dog wash and shaded picnic shelters. The best urban dog-swim option in the metro outside the off-leash beaches. Admission $6 per vehicle on weekends and holidays.
