Casa de Campo
Oeste ยท Casa de Campo, Madrid
Madrid's largest park and one of the biggest urban parks in the world at 1,700 hectares. A former royal hunting ground that was opened to the public in 1931. For dogs, Casa de Campo is paradise. There are designated off-leash areas throughout the park, but in practice the scale of the terrain means dogs run freely across the pine forests, open meadows, and dirt tracks without issue. The lake at the centre is dog-friendly along its shores. You can easily spend a full day here with a large dog and never feel crowded.
๐ก Enter from the Lago metro station for the fastest access to the lake area. For the best off-leash forest, use the Batan entrance
