14th-century brick tower with oak trees growing from a hanging garden on its roof — Lucca's most iconic image. The climb (230 steps) does not admit dogs; the street and base square are however fully accessible.

Piazza San Martino, 55100 Lucca
Romanesque-Pisan cathedral started 1063, with the iconic asymmetric façade (one column shorter to fit the existing bell tower) and the Volto Santo crucifix inside. Dogs not allowed inside (except assistance dogs).
💡 The labyrinth carved on the right portal column is a 13th-century pilgrim marker — a memorable photo with your dog at its base.
