Dog-Friendly Beaches Near Granada

The official designated dog beach on the Granada coast, located in Motril approximately 65 km south of the city via the A-44. Known locally as PlayaCan, it offers a 400-metre stretch of shingle and sand where dogs can run off-lead year-round, including during the summer months when most Spanish beaches are off-limits. The water is clear and warm from June through October. Bring fresh water for your dog — facilities are basic.
