A public promenade running along the Darro river below the walls of the Alhambra, offering one of the most dramatic views in Spain. Dogs on leads are welcome on this open street at all hours. The terrace bars and restaurants that line the paseo allow dogs, and the view of the floodlit Alhambra on a summer evening is genuinely breathtaking. This is the closest a dog owner can get to the Alhambra without entering the grounds.

The ancient Moorish quarter of Granada, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of narrow cobbled lanes, whitewashed carmen walls, and elevated mirador viewpoints. Entirely public and freely walkable with dogs on leads. The neighbourhood is hilly — cobbled slopes can be steep — but the route from Plaza Nueva up to the Mirador de San Nicolás (with its famous Alhambra panorama) is manageable for most dogs. The local bars and small restaurants along the way follow Andalusia's terrace-welcoming rules.

The Alhambra palace complex is Spain's most visited monument and one of the greatest achievements of Moorish architecture in the world. Dogs are NOT allowed inside the Nasrid Palaces, the Generalife gardens, or the Alcazaba fortress — only accredited guide dogs are permitted. The surrounding forested paths of the Bosque de la Alhambra are accessible to dogs on leads and offer beautiful walks through holm oak woodland on the hillside.
