Gozo is small, rural and laced with countryside paths, so its real dog walks are coastal trails and valleys rather than fenced city parks. The cliffs at Ta' Cenc, the dramatic Dwejra coast and the green valley walks toward Mgarr ix-Xini are all open, leashed-dog territory with sea views the whole way. There is little natural shade on the clifftops, so from June to September walk at dawn or dusk and always carry water for your dog.
The highest cliffs on Gozo, rising above the south coast near Sannat, with wide open garigue plateau and sweeping Mediterranean views. The flat clifftop tracks make for a superb leashed dog walk, but there are unfenced drops, so keep your dog close on the lead at all times.

Gozo's most dramatic stretch of coast, home to the Inland Sea, Fungus Rock, the Blue Hole and the Dwejra Tower. The open coastal paths around the bay are an easy, scenic leashed walk, and out of season your dog can paddle at the rocky water's edge by the Inland Sea.

A green, sheltered valley path that winds down to the narrow rocky cove of Mgarr ix-Xini, one of the more shaded walks on the island thanks to the valley sides and trees. The cove is rocky rather than sandy, so dogs may go in the water, and the inlet is calm and protected.
