The Cinque Terre has no fenced city dog park, because the whole area is a national park of terraced vineyards, pine woods and clifftop paths where leashed dogs are welcome. Green space here means the panoramic headland gardens above the villages and the coastal footpaths rather than manicured lawns. For a longer, flatter walk, the gateway town of Levanto just to the north has an easy seafront and pine-shaded gardens that suit dogs far better than the steep village staircases.
