Cefalù is a small coastal town rather than a city of big parks, so dog walks here mean the dramatic La Rocca headland trail, the flat seafront Lungomare, and the coastal paths toward the eastern coves. Dogs must be leashed in public, and Sicilian summer heat makes timing everything. Walk early morning before about 10:00 or in the evening after 18:00, and carry water on every outing. The three routes below are all accessible on foot from the old town.
The signposted trail up the 270-metre headland above the old town climbs past megalithic ruins and a medieval castle to sweeping views over the cathedral and coast. It is a rocky, exposed out-and-back of about 3.4 km that dogs handle well on a lead.

The seafront promenade runs along the Tyrrhenian coast just outside the old-town gates, flat and easy for a relaxed leashed stroll. It is the simplest dog walk in town, with cafés on the inland side and the beach below.

East of the old town, a scenic rocky path threads along the shore toward the Caldura and Kalura coves, with sea views the whole way. It is quieter than the central seafront and a good leg-stretch for an energetic dog kept on a lead.
