Dog Walks & Green Spaces in Cassis

A very easy 1.7 km loop around the Port-Miou peninsula that gives postcard views over the calanque on one side and the turquoise sea and Cap Canaille on the other, through a pine wood. It sits on the periphery of the Calanques park, so dogs are allowed on leash here outside the spring closure, making it the most scenic short walk in Cassis you can do with a dog.

The closest and most accessible calanque to the village, a long narrow inlet lined with moored boats reached by an easy roughly 30-minute walk from the edge of Cassis. As a peripheral, boat-harbour calanque it is the one part of the calanque coast where dogs are tolerated on leash outside the nesting closure, though the water here is a working mooring rather than a swimming spot.

Just inland from the village, the AOC Cassis vineyards spread out beneath the shelter of Cap Canaille, crossed by quiet rural lanes that make for gentle, shaded-in-places walking well away from the crowds. These vineyard tracks are outside the national park, so there is no dog ban, making them a relaxed alternative when the calanques are closed or too hot.
