Brunel's 1864 iron suspension bridge over the Avon Gorge, Bristol's defining landmark. Pedestrian crossing is free for foot traffic and dogs (cars pay ยฃ1). The 412 m crossing is dog-friendly on leash; the views from the centre are spectacular at sunset.
