Brunel's 1864 iron suspension bridge over the Avon Gorge — Bristol's defining landmark. Pedestrian crossing is free for foot traffic and dogs (cars pay £1). The 412 m crossing is dog-friendly on leash; the views from the centre are spectacular at sunset.
💡 Walk from Sion Hill (Clifton side) to Leigh Woods (Somerset side) — dog-friendly woodland on the other side, 5 km circular loop with the bridge as backdrop.
