Dog-Friendly Attractions in Bristol

Brunel's 1864 iron suspension bridge over the Avon Gorge, Bristol's defining landmark. Pedestrian crossing is free for foot traffic and dogs (cars pay £1). The 412 m crossing is dog-friendly on leash; the views from the centre are spectacular at sunset.

Brunel's 1843 iron-hulled steamship, now a museum. The interior tour does not accept dogs, but the surrounding quayside, the dock and the Brunel Dockyard are leashed-dog-friendly with a continuous walking path. The dockyard café accepts dogs on the outdoor terrace.

Bristol's flagship food destination, over 30 independent restaurants, cafés and bars in shipping-container architecture along the south side of the Floating Harbour. Most outdoor seating accepts leashed dogs; the central plaza is dog-friendly day and night.
