
Hengistbury Head Nature Reserve
East end of Bournemouth Bay ยท Hengistbury Head, Bournemouth BH6 4EN
A 162-hectare protected peninsula combining sandy beaches, heathland, woodland and a 35-metre summit (Warren Hill) with views across to the Isle of Wight. Dogs are off-leash across most of the reserve, with a leash request near grazing cattle (signposted) and on the boardwalk through the bird-nesting Double Dykes section April-July.
๐ก Park at the Hengistbury Head car park (BH6 4EN), walk out via Warren Hill summit, descend to the beach, and take the Land Train back if the dog is tired (ยฃ2 single, dogs free).
