Dog Parks & Walks in Bilbao

Bilbao's most beloved central park, right in the heart of the museum quarter, with a dedicated off-leash zone in the north-western corner near the Meliá hotel. The park's wide tree-lined avenues, ornamental pond, and café terrace make it the go-to morning walk for locals with dogs.

One of Bilbao's most distinctive parks, set on a hillside above the Casco Viejo and dominated by a monumental industrial chimney at its centre. The off-leash area is positioned near the skate park on the lower section, while the upper terraces offer sweeping views across the city — a firm favourite with local dog owners for evening walks.

Located in the La Peña neighbourhood beside the Bilbao estuary, Parque Ibaieder is a popular medium-sized riverside park with a dedicated off-leash section — roughly ten minutes' walk from the Casco Viejo. The estuary setting and grassy banks make it especially good for water-loving dogs in the cooler months.
