Pet-Friendly Attractions in Bibione

Bibione's symbol, the lighthouse at Punta Tagliamento, stands where the river meets the sea and reopened to visitors with free admission. The reward is the walk to reach it: a shady pine-grove and beach route that you can do with your dog with no restrictions on the outdoor approach. The wild river-mouth setting, fossil dunes and birdlife make it the most memorable outing in Bibione.

Bibione Thermae is the resort's thermal spa, open since 1996, with large indoor and outdoor thermal pools, saunas, treatments and a Beauty Farm, all set within a pine forest close to the beach. It is a major draw for relaxation holidays but it is a human spa, so dogs cannot enter the pools or treatment areas. It is best treated as a half-day for the owners while a pet sitter or pet hotel looks after the dog.

Bibione's pedestrianised centre and seafront promenade are the social heart of the resort, lined with shops, gelaterias, markets and bar terraces where dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables. It is an easy, flat evening stroll once the heat eases, and the Bibione Pet Card brings discounts at participating shops for hotel guests.
