Dog-Friendly Beaches near Bath

A 5-mile stretch of sandy beach south of Burnham-on-Sea with backing dunes (designated SSSI). Dogs are allowed off-leash year-round across the entire beach, one of the few UK coastal beaches with no seasonal restriction. Wide, flat sand at low tide for fetch games.

Weston's southern end (Uphill / Royal Sands) allows dogs year-round, while the central tourist beach restricts dogs from 1 May to 30 September. The Uphill section is wider, quieter, and closer to the marshes, popular with locals walking dogs and beachgoers escaping the central crowds.
