Pet-Friendly Parks in Antwerp

Antwerp's main city park, just east of the historic centre. A landscaped English-style park with ponds, statues, and tree-lined paths. Dogs are welcome on leash and there is a designated off-leash area near the south entrance. The park is popular with dog owners throughout the day and has a pleasant café terrace that welcomes dogs on the outdoor seating area. A central and convenient green space for visitors.

The Scheldekaaien is Antwerp's revitalized riverside promenade — a 5 km stretch of parkland, paths, and terraces along the River Schelde. Leashed dogs are entirely at home here. The wide riverside walk offers spectacular views of the river, the left bank, and the city skyline. The southern section connects to the Nachtegalenpark for a longer walk. One of the best urban walking experiences in Belgium.

A large romantic park in south Antwerp with forest paths, open meadows, and the outdoor Middelheim Sculpture Museum within it. Dogs on leash are welcome throughout and the forest paths make for a genuinely natural walking experience within the city. The Middelheim sculptures are accessible with dogs on the grounds. A favourite with south Antwerp dog owners.

A large 130-hectare park in the Deurne district east of central Antwerp, with a historic castle, rose gardens, and extensive walking paths. Dogs are welcome on leash throughout and there is an informal off-leash area in the eastern section used by local dog owners. The scale of the park makes it ideal for a full morning walk. Less central but well worth the 15-minute tram ride from the city centre.
