Dog Parks & Green Spaces in Albufeira

A 4 km clifftop trail through umbrella-pine forest linking Praia da Falésia and Olhos de Água, with bright red sandstone cliffs and viewpoints over the Atlantic. Dogs on leash welcome year-round, packed dirt path with light shade, water fountains at both ends.

A small landscaped municipal park just north of the Old Town, with a children's playground, café kiosk, mature carob and orange trees, and shaded benches. Dogs on leash welcome on all paths year-round, the only formal urban park inside walking distance of the centre.

A coastal lagoon and wetland reserve 8 km west of Albufeira centre with a 3 km wooden boardwalk over the salt marshes, flamingos and herons year-round. Dogs on leash welcome on the boardwalk, the beach is closed to dogs 1 May-30 September but the wetland walk stays open.
