Dog-Friendly Parks in A Coruña

A 130-hectare clifftop park at the western tip of the city, perched at 137 m above the Atlantic with panoramic views over the open ocean, the Torre de Hércules and the Coruña bay. Open lawns, pine groves, the old coastal artillery battery, a glass-domed viewpoint and a panoramic lift up from the seafront. Dogs on lead are welcome throughout the park grounds and on the perimeter paths; the small interior installations follow the standard 'assistance dogs only' policy.

A Coruña's main central park (around 15 hectares) on a wooded hillock between the Pescadería and Os Mallos districts, with mature lawns, pine and eucalyptus groves, jogging loops, the Casa de las Ciencias planetarium on top, and one of the city's designated off-leash dog zones (Zona de Esparcimiento Canino), a fenced area where dogs can run freely under owner supervision. The rest of the park requires a lead.

The 47-hectare clifftop park surrounding the UNESCO-listed Torre de Hércules, the only Roman lighthouse still in service. Open lawns, an outdoor sculpture park with works by Pablo Serrano, Manolo Paz and Francisco Leiro, a Muslim cemetery memorial, and 4 km of perimeter paths along the Atlantic edge. Dogs on lead are welcome throughout the park and on the perimeter paths; the lighthouse interior does not admit dogs (assistance dogs only).
