Hondvriendelijke stranden bij Sesimbra, waar & wanneer je je hond mee kunt nemen

A freshwater lagoon that meets the Atlantic on a sandbar, with calm, shallow waters popular with families, paddle and windsurf enthusiasts, and dog owners. Reported as dog-friendly, including in summer, since it is not a standard concessioned bathing beach.

A long, largely non-concessioned stretch of coast where dog zones are informally recognised by locals and dog-friendly venues such as Bar do Peixe operate right on the sand. Less strictly enforced than Sesimbra's own concessioned town beach.

Sesimbra's main town beach and the first in Portugal to raise the Accessible Beach flag, with lifeguard and full-season facilities. Its official municipal page lists a "Proibidos Animais" (animals prohibited) icon among the beach's service indicators.
