Il fattore più importante per gli animali è il traghetto: Rodi è uno snodo del Dodecaneso, e sia Blue Star Ferries che Dodekanisos Seaways trasportano cani, ma con obbligo rigido di museruola e guinzaglio e senza accesso ai saloni interni. D'estate il caldo in un'auto o un taxi parcheggiati a mezzogiorno è il vero pericolo, quindi pianifica i trasferimenti per le ore più fresche.

Rhodes summers are hot and dry, with July and August highs around 31 C. Never leave a dog in a parked car, even briefly. Time ferry boarding, taxi transfers and walks for early morning or evening, test pavement and deck temperature with your hand before letting your dog walk on it, and carry water on every journey. Ferry open decks can be very exposed to sun, so bring shade.
