A long broad beach 3 miles north of Whitby — among the few major Yorkshire beaches with year-round off-leash freedom along its full length. Backed by jurassic cliffs and reachable by the Whitby-Sandsend coastal path. 1h15 drive from York.

South Marine Drive, Bridlington YO15 3JT
Bridlington's wide southern sands are signposted as a year-round dog beach beyond the harbour groynes — about half the total length. The remaining family-tourist zone is closed to dogs from 1 May to 30 September inclusive. 1h15 drive or 1h25 train from York.
