Dog-Friendly Parks in Warsaw

Warsaw's most celebrated park: a 76-hectare royal landscape garden with the Palace on the Isle, neoclassical monuments, peacocks roaming freely, and magnificent old trees. Dogs on leash are welcome throughout the park. The wide tree-lined avenues, the lake, and the park's woodland sections make it one of the finest dog-walking parks in any European capital. The peacocks are a fixture — keep dogs under firm control when they appear. Open-air Chopin concerts are held by the famous Chopin Monument on Sunday afternoons in summer (dogs welcome at the outdoor concerts).

Park Praski is the main green space on the east bank of the Vistula, adjacent to the Warsaw Zoo. A large, mature park with winding paths, a small lake, and several designated off-leash dog areas. Very popular with local Praga residents and their dogs. The atmosphere is genuinely local — no tourist pressure. The park is well-maintained and has good dog waste stations throughout. A natural complement to an afternoon exploring Praga's streets and cafés.

Kabacki Forest is a vast urban forest reserve in southern Warsaw, covering nearly 900 hectares of pine and mixed forest. It's easily the best place in Warsaw for a serious off-leash dog walk through genuine forest. Dogs are welcome on all trails. The forest has marked walking and cycling routes of various lengths. It connects to the Chojnów Landscape Park to the south, allowing very long hikes. Reachable by metro M1 to Kabaty station.

Pole Mokotowskie (Mokotów Field) is a large open green space in southern central Warsaw — the city's main off-leash dog running area and one of the most popular weekend destinations for Warsaw dog owners. The park has a proper designated dog run area but the whole vast open field is used for dog exercise by the local community. Cafés and food stands at the edges. Easy access from the city centre by metro M1.
