Dog-Friendly Parks in Toulouse

A wide riverside meadow along the Garonne in central Toulouse, adjacent to the historic city centre. One of the city's most popular dog-walking destinations — an off-leash freedom area is located within the park where dogs can run freely. Open daily 7:00–22:00. Dogs can access the Garonne riverbank for supervised swimming. The park connects to a longer riverside promenade along both banks. Tram line T1 stops nearby.

A 7-hectare formal garden near the Toulouse-Matabiau train station with alleys, lawns, and a Japanese garden section. Dogs can walk in the alleys and use the lawns for picnics, though the Japanese garden is restricted. A caniparc (fenced dog area) is available within the garden. Good option for a structured walk close to the city centre and train station.

A 2,700-hectare state forest on the western edge of Toulouse, offering 5 marked walking trails, 2 sports trails, and a GR hiking route. Dogs can go off-lead in the forest. The terrain is mostly flat with light undergrowth — good for high-energy dogs who need long runs. Accessible by car (15–20 min from city centre); no direct public transport. Bring water as there are few facilities inside the forest.
