Paal 9 Dog Beach (Den Hoorn)
Den Hoorn ยท Mokweg, 1797 Den Hoorn
The closest year-round off-leash dog beach to the southern villages and the TESO ferry, reached by a 1 km boardwalk from the Mokweg car park through the dunes. Wide sand at low tide, gently sloping water, and almost no surf on most days because the Mokbaai breaks the swell to the south. Quieter than the De Koog Paal 17 beach even in July, and a 5-minute drive from Den Hoorn village for lunch at Bij Jef.
๐ก Park free at the Mokweg car park and walk the boardwalk west; the southern end of Paal 9 connects on foot to Paal 8 Mokbaai at low tide for an extended 4 km loop.
