Sliema is a dense seaside town with little parkland, so the star walk is the seafront promenade itself, a flat coastal path that runs for kilometres from Tigné Point around to St Julian's. Note that dogs are banned inside the manicured Independence Garden, but the open promenade beside it is the local dog-walking artery.

The redeveloped Tigné Point peninsula has wide pedestrian walkways, open plazas and a quieter waterfront loop facing Valletta. It is an easy, traffic-free leg-stretch for dogs away from the busier Strand, reached via the Tigné pedestrian bridge.
